The Odd Couple
We collectively scratched our heads yesterday at the announcement of Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine. Neither of us are adverse to the idea, but it just seems… odd. We like Jason Aaron, though, and more news has surfaced today in the form of a couple of interviews that makes this sound more interesting.
So sayeth Aaron himself over at Newsarama: “This isn’t a Spider-Man story guest-starring Wolverine or a Wolverine story guest-starring Spider-Man. This is something completely different, something that takes us to all sorts of weird little corners of the Marvel U, but at the end of the day is really just a story about these two characters and just an elaborate way of putting them in all sorts of crazy situations where they’ll annoy the living shit out of each other.”
I believe I can get behind that. The series debuts in May, until then you can read more from Aaron and artist Adam Kubert at Newsarama and CBR.
