It'll be interesting to see where all this ultimately goes. I think we are still right in the eye of the storm, so there's really no telling what the fiction landscape will look like in 2, 5, or 10 years. That's of scary, but also kind of cool, because it puts everbody -- those operating out of their living rooms and those working with major corporations -- on (almost) equal footing for the first time ever. It's a tremendously exciting time to be an artist. As a start-up writer looking to make it in the world of new media, it’s certainly encouraging to see these topics being talked about. It’ll be interesting to see where all this ultimately goes. But I think you capture my own reaction to Venom. But I also found myself enjoying this issue despite myself for what are really the same reasons you go into. And "Where Was My Brain" was the last song of the set tonight at the Troubadour. We also got his solo cover of "Fisherman's Blues" by the Waterboys, which was totally and completely the best thing ever.
